NORTH HAVEN, CT, December 18, 2020 – ProFlow, a leading provider of custom-engineered and modular fluid handling equipment for manufacturing facilities worldwide, announces the appointment of Chris FitzGerald to the position of president and CEO. FitzGerald replaces Kurt Uihlein in that capacity, with Uihlein continuing as Chairman of the Board at ProFlow.

As CEO, FitzGerald joins the existing executive team at ProFlow, where he has full responsibility for meeting the needs of ProFlow’s customers, employees, and other business partners. FitzGerald brings a wealth of experience to ProFlow. In the past, he held engineering and general management positions at Goodyear, Carrier Corporation, and Pitney Bowes, and more recently served as CEO of several privately held manufacturing businesses.  FitzGerald’s deep experience in the manufacturing and design of engineered products, and his extensive international business experience help reinforce the ProFlow team in the company’s pursuit of continual improvements in product offerings and engineered systems, as well as in critical operational capabilities and customer-facing results.

FitzGerald holds a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Virginia and MBA and MA degrees from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

“Chris FitzGerald has an impressive track record of helping companies improve on-time delivery, quality, and safety, while continuing to innovate in the marketplace and realizing sustained double-digit growth,” said Kurt Uihlein. “FitzGerald’s vision for the future will build upon decades of growth and customer-focused solutions, leading ProFlow to an even stronger position of success.”

“I’m honored to join the team at ProFlow,” said FitzGerald. “The company’s mission of building the highest quality products and constantly seeking new technologies to achieve ongoing operational improvements at its customers’ facilities aligns well with how I’ve managed businesses throughout my career. I’m committed to getting the right results for my customers, while achieving long-term business growth on a global scale.”

ProFlow began in 1922 as a supplier of industrial equipment to local companies. After almost 100 years in business, they have grown to become a global supplier of skid-mounted process equipment to the pulp & paper, chemical, pharmaceutical, and power industries.
